Synapie (formerly Penaptic) is made by one person. There is no ticket queue and no support bot — mail goes to a human who reads it.

Expect a reply within two working days. Reports of abuse are looked at first.
Synapie lets people share notes, lists and todos with each other by email address. Sharing is invite-only — nobody can put anything in front of you unless they know your address and you accept — and everything shared is encrypted on the sender's device, which means nobody at Synapie can read it. That is the whole point of the product, and it is also the reason reporting works the way it does: we cannot look at what you were sent and judge it for ourselves, so what you tell us is what we act on.
You can do two different things, and they are both in the app under Account → Blocking & reporting (and on any invite that is waiting for an answer):
What we do with a report: we look at the account behind that address, and where the account is being used to harass, spam or send illegal material we suspend or delete it, which removes its ability to reach anyone on Synapie. We will not ask you for a copy of what you received, and we cannot recover it ourselves. If you are in danger, contact your local emergency services — we are one person with a server, not an emergency service.
On iPhone, if you signed in with Apple, Account → Delete account removes the account and everything stored for it, on every device. Otherwise open your account page and delete it there. Deletion cancels an active subscription and cannot be undone — we do not keep a copy we could restore from.
Your notes, todos, lists and attachments are encrypted before they leave your device and we do not hold the key. So we cannot read your content, recover it, reset it, or hand it to anyone — including you, if you lose every device you have signed in on. Keep a second device signed in, or export a backup from Account → Backup.
The exception, stated plainly: when you ask the server-hosted assistant a question, the content of that request is readable by us and by the model provider that answers it, because it has to be. The on-device model sends nothing. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is collected.
Subscriptions are managed on your account page — subscribe, change your card, or cancel. Payments are handled by Stripe; card details never reach us. For a refund or a billing question, mail [email protected].
Mail them to the same address. It helps to say which app (iPhone or Mac), what you did, and what happened instead. If the app showed an error, quoting it verbatim saves a round trip.
